Family is Family – Pittsburgh Family Portrait Photographer

society 6, support aclu

Pittsburgh Refugee & Immigrant Assistance Center is an agency of Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Pittsburgh. It is officially recognized to provide immigration services for individuals and families with limited financial resources. Resettlement services, immigration services, naturalization services as well as services to those who have been granted asylum are provided.

We are a two self-employment household so money can be tight at times, especially as we strive to keep our prices accessible to our clients. But we want to do all we can to support efforts that help oppressed people. Therefore, until the ban on refugees is rescinded fully, we will be donating 10% of the proceeds from every single family session we shoot to the Pittsburgh Refugee & Immigrant Assistance Center.

Furthermore, for those that don’t know, we both come from artistic backgrounds and have launched a Society6 shop featuring prints and products of our artwork. 50% of the proceeds from sales in this store will be donated to the ACLU. Keep us in mind for future gift giving needs or simply a little something for yourself.

Uncle Joe’s 80th Birthday Party- Sewickley Family Event Photographer

We know a fair amount of people who don’t think about hiring a photographer for an event unless it’s a fancy party. But sometimes even the most casual family gathering can benefit from a professional photographer. You’re having a party for a reason- it stands to reason that you might want to remember it. And hiring a pro means that’s one more thing you don’t have to worry about on top of the food, the guests, taking out the trash, and oh yeah- having fun. We were recently reminded of this when we received some kind words from a woman who hired us to capture a surprise 80th birthday party for Joe. There were several generations in attendance from various branches of extended family, and as you can see, they had a lot of fun!

Wanted to take a quick minute to thank you again for coming and photographing at our party. Everyone said that it was a good idea to have a photographer there because we were all so caught up in talking and such that we never snapped a single picture ourselves. Thanks again!

Harper, Erin, and Bill – Pittsburgh Family Portrait Photographer

Outdoor family photography in Pittsburgh

A couple of years ago, we captured Erin and Bill’s small wedding. A couple months ago, we had the extreme pleasure of taking photos of their baby girl, Harper. Because of some windy weather, we mixed up the photos between a local park and inside their home. Regardless of location, you can see the wonderfully silly personality on this little one and how happy she makes her parents. Harper turned a year old just last week so we’re celebrating by sharing these photos and giggling at her goofy, adorable faces.

Contact us today to set up a session to capture fun and playful images of your family!

Craftical – Troy Hill Event Photographer

Have you ever heard of tactical crafting? We hadn’t either but leave it to Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse to come up with a seriously cool and inventive event idea. PCCR staff members weighed down by various bags of reuse miscellany and 50 local crafters with tools in hand descended upon Scratch Food & Beverage in Troy Hill one night in November to throw down. Although, I don’t know if you can really call driving up the dreaded Rialto Street as “descending.” No matter, the food and drink were tasty, the materials recycled, and the competition intense.
