Megan and Ryan wedding – Pittsburgh Photographer – Saint Paul Cathedral

While assisting Maria Palermo on this amazing fall wedding, I was fortunate to meet and photograph two amazing people, Megan and Ryan.  They and their two families were both so much fun to work with, and I had a blast.  I even learned a new trick for catching the garter, courtesy of Megan’s fun-loving father.  These are a few of my personal favorites I captured from the day.  Their ceremony took place in the gorgeous Saint Paul Cathedral in Pittsburgh‘s Oakland neighborhood.

Callen and Ryen – Pittsburgh Photographer – Ambridge Gazebo Park

Look at these two cutes!  It seems like such a short time ago that Ryen was an only child, and always the center of attention.  I’ve watched Ryen grow up over the past 7 years, and her little brother, Callen, for the past 2.  Now she is sharing the action with Callen, and helping out during photo sessions, too.  Callen is *obsessed* with hats and sunglasses, so I lent him my hat for part of the time, which he loved (Go Buccos!).  He was also obsessed with pointing out airplanes flying overhead, trucks passing by, and various little critters on the ground.  He wasn’t as over the moon about picture time as was his sister, but we all had lots of fun.  Time after time, I always enjoy working with these kids, because they are such naturals in front of the camera!

Jon, Jamie, Abby + Ian – Allegheny Commons Park Family Portrait

I love working with families, especially when it doesn’t feel like work! Sometimes, yes, wrangling uncooperative children or dodging weather can be stressful, but that was not the case for this family portrait with Abby, Ian, and their awesome parents. I knew that thunderstorms would be rolling in during the afternoon, so we met in Allegheny Commons park in the morning, and what a beautiful day we had! Though Abby at times wanted to do her own thing, she is a wonderful little girl and ended up being quite cooperative, and helped out with her little brother Ian.

We had a great time in the park for this family portrait. It honestly felt more like just hanging out than work, which is exactly what we want for our clients. We want you to have fun and be yourself, and let us capture the wonderful moments that make your family’s day in the park special!
